Today was a beautiful reminder of what inclusion truly looks like. One of our preschoolers joyfully jumped rope with a preschool friend who has disabilities, while teachers joined in to help. The smiles said it all-----when we play together, we learn that kindness, friendship, and joy have no limits. :)

Some of the cheerleaders came into the kindergarten classroom today and showed both the kindergarten kiddos and the second graders some cheers and also gave each one of the students a pom-pom. If they bring that pom-pom to a volleyball match and go to the concession stand, they will get a dollar off of their purchase. Thank you, Mrs. Gemar, Mrs. Wilson, and the cheerleaders.
Throughout the school year, our seniors are paired with kindergartners to serve as mentors. The seniors act as positive role models, offering support, encouragement, and friendship. They may join the kindergartners for reading, learning activities, special projects, or just a little playtime twice a month. This partnership helps the younger children feel more confident and connected at school, while also giving older students a chance to develop leadership, responsibility and empathy.
