Senior Trip to Pierre by Morgan Gemar On January 24, 2024, the Tripp-Delmont Senior class visited the Capitol in Pierre, South Dakota. We had the opportunity to meet with Jessica Bahmuller, a State Representative for District 19, and Secretary of State Monae Johnson. After meeting them, we entered the House of Representatives and Senate Chambers and listened to them debate a bill. Lastly, we ended the day meeting with District 19 Representative Drew Peterson and District 19 Senator Kyle Schoenfish.

The Kindergarten Kiddos had a great time with their senior mentors today doing a Valentine's Day project. They also took the time to sing Happy Birthday to a very special teacher. :)

8th Graders Attend Career Fair Tripp-Delmont 8th graders and Mrs. Lau attended the career fair in Wagner. The students checked out different career opportunities. Kaylon Beaner and Hayden Mora both said the power linesmen position interested them the most. Kymber Parker stated her career interest is in marine biology; however, this career was not present at the fair. Logan Johnson learned how Lewis and Clark can help assist residents in the area communities. Lastly, Kale Daugherty liked the medical booths they checked out and the Game Fish and Parks line of work.

The week of Jan 14-20, 2024, is the South Dakota High School Activities Association Winter Officials Appreciation Week. During the season these dedicated men and women take time away from their personal schedules and families to provide opportunities for student-athletes participating in SDHSAA activities. Tripp-Delmont-Armour and Mitchell Christian boys teams and coaches thank the officials at the January 19th game.

Tuesday, January 23, lunch will be chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, and corn. Thursday, January 25, lunch will be spaghetti, garlic bread, and vegetables.

The third graders got a new set of oil pastels and were anxious to try them out during art class! They had a lot of fun coloring a spring flower on a cold January day! And what beautiful pictures they made!
