Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation


Over 50 area scholarships listed at www.sfacf.org .  Students head for college, vocational, or technical

schools have 24-hour access to local and statewide scholarship opportunities.  Awards range from $ 250 to

$ 5,000.  Several scholarships can be renewed for up to three years.

ASA Youth Softball Scholarship


Any graduating senior that has been involved in the South Dakota ASA program, or who has a parent / guardian

who has participated in this program in the last 3 years may apply.  There is the possibility of 17 scholarships

being given out each year through SDASA totaling $ 500 each.  See Mr. Vlasman for the application form.


AXA Achievement Scholarship


A winner in every state, Washington, DC & Puerto Rico.  Scholarships of $ 10,0000 & $ 25,000.  Apply by

December 1, 2012.  Only the first 10,000 applicants will be accepted.  Learn more and apply online at



AXA Achievement Community Scholarship


Up to 375 winners nationwide.  Scholarship of $ 2,000.  Apply by February 1, 2013.  Only the first 10,000 applicants will be accepted.  $ 1.3 million is available.  Are you active in your community?  Have you led a project that benefits others?

Best Buy Scholarship Program


Students in grades 9 – 12 living in the U.S. and Puerto Rico are eligible to apply.  Students who demonstrate good grades, commitment to community service and/or work experience are eligible to apply.  Go to the website: http://pr.bby.com

Burger King McLamore Foundation


High school seniors, Burger King employees, their dependent children, spouses or domestic partners are eligible to receive up to $ 50,000 in scholarship awards for the 2013-14 school year.  Don’t miss your chance to become a Burger King Scholars!  Apply on-line at www.bkmclamorefoundation.org/WhatWeDo/ScholarsProgram   Applications may be submitted between Nov. 15th, 2012 and Jan. 10th, 2013. 


Douglas Electric Cooperative , Inc.


The Basin Electric Scholarship program offers a $ 1,000 scholarship.  The applicant must be a student who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time graduate or undergraduate course of study at an accredited, two-year or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school.  The applicant’s parent must also be a member of Douglas Electric.  See

Santel “Ray Judy Memorial” Scholarship


High school seniors whose parents or guardian are members of the Santel Communication Cooperative are invited to apply for the Ray Judy Memorial Scholarship. Applications are due by March 22nd, 2013. South Dakota Engineering Society


The Eastern Chapter of the SD Engineering Society, is currently offering scholarships for high school seniors applying

to engineering colleges. They are providing a $ 2,000 scholarship.   The application deadline is February 1st. See Mr. Vlasman if you would like an application form.


Yankton College Scholarship

The Yankton College Scholarship Program is offering over twenty $ 1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and post-graduate students.  2013-14 Yankton College Scholarship Applications are available at the website: www.yanktoncollege.org   Yankton College, PO Box 133, Yankton, SD  57078 / Phone (866) 665-3661.
